Another New CWA Belles Branch in 2010
Another new branch of the Association was formed in Bunbury on the 1st February this
year, known as the Southern Belles. An inaugural meeting was organised by Michelle Davies, who
had been a member of the Perth Belles prior to her move to Bunbury. Michelle had enjoyed the
opportunity provided by Perth Belles to meet new people and learn new things, in addition to
giving back to the community.

Southern Belles hold monthly meetings/workshops, alternating between Sunday
afternoons and week nights at various venues in the South West and at each meeting they learn a
new skill. Workshops planned included wakeboarding, jam making, yoga, cocktail making and
photography. They also plan to hold fund raisers throughout the year. Currently, the Belles are
making carry bags for the Department of Environment and Conservation to transport wallabies for
their translocation programmes.
Members range in age from early 20s through to early 40s and live in Collie, Boyanup,
Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River. For more information on the branch visit
