GEOGRAPHE Craft Camp, 24 – 27 August 2017

Our CWA Geographe Craft Camp is either live-in, or those who live nearby can attend day sessions or ½ day sessions without staying overnight. It is open to MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS of CWA, and I would encourage you to bring your crafty friends along. There will be a wide variety of crafts on offer for you to try, and feel free to bring your UFOs (unfinished objects) and use the time to sit by the fire and chat to friends as you finish your projects.
This is a laid-back, happy camp, in a beautiful location – literally right on the beach.

We will only be too happy if you can share by demonstrating a craft of some kind, and I would ask you to let me know if you are willing to do this. If you have demonstrated in the past we would encourage you to be a demonstrator again at this year’s camp, or you may know of someone who has not attended camp previously, who would be willing to share their craft with all of us.

For full details, please download our mail-out letter, our updated 2017 flier, and our registration form, and share them with your friends. Here are some of the crafts to be taught this year, and a few photos from last year’s camp:

Crafters and Home Farm & Gardeners Exhibition, April 2018

An extensive range of Arts & Crafts will be displayed at the CWA bi-annual Combined Exhibition, to be held in Bassendean in 2018.
Home Farm and Gardeners will have cooking and garden sections entries for judging, and the Branch Table competitions will have the themes of  “Afternoon Tea”  and “Farm”.
Light meals and sales stalls will be available.

Members are asked to study the Exhibition Schedule, and this revision, and get down to some serious Crafting and HF&G work over the winter months. It would be great to have exhibitors from all around the State, as well as our local branches. So come on, Members – let’s put on a really good show!

Date: Friday 20th and Saturday 21st April, 2018.
Venue : Bassendean Church of Christ Hall, 4 Ivanhoe Street, Bassendean, Perth.
This is a pleasant outdoor space, with plenty of free parking, and close to train and bus stops

Next Camp – Friday 23rd to Monday 26th March, 2018 – QUARANUP FLIER March2018
(Last held – Friday 24th to Monday 27th March, 2017)

This annual Craft Camp is held at Quaranup, just outside Albany, every year at this time, and attracts crafters from all over the state.
Quaranup is the former Quarantine Station for immigrants  to Western Australia, and is a charming, peaceful site. Open to members and non-members, Quaranup Camp is run by a Committee of CWA members from as far afield as Wagin.
We have places for live-in and day visitors, and the more the merrier!

Demonstrators provide the materials and/or kits. So unless stated otherwise on the flier, eg ‘bring sewing machine’, you just need to bring cash for the daily or residential fees, and some money for kits/materials.
Kits range from around $5 to $25, depending on the materials involved.
Day visitors should arrive from 8.30 a.m onwards.
Lunch is provided.
Sorry, no EFTPOS facilities.
We will look forward to seeing you there.

Please contact Gail at or 0403 783 669 to register.
