International Co-ordinator

Branch donations are used to assist with the Association’s international work, which is carried out mainly through the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) – CWA of WA is affiliated with ACWW. Members donate their small change to build up the international working fund – ‘Pennies for Friendship’.

Each year an International Co-ordinator is elected, and her role is to encourage international understanding within the Association by:

  • Promoting the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW), especially the South Pacific Area.
  • Reporting to each issue of the Countrywoman on a regular basis.
  • Facilitating a new Country of Study each year.
  • Mounting promotion displays as required.
  • Facilitating direct donations of goods and funds to specific overseas projects.
