CWA of WA at the Perth Royal Show – A Showcase of Community Spirit and Legacy
CWA of WA’s presence at the Perth Royal Show (27 September – 4 October) is more than a nod to our proud history — it is a living example of how the Association sustains and grows its legacy for future generations. This is CWA at its best: uniting women, role-modelling community service, and sharing our purpose with a state-wide audience.
This year’s participation was extraordinary. The CWA stalls became a welcoming haven, offering delicious food, fun gifts, happy chatter, and a cosy place to relax for approximately 4,000 customers.

CWA 2025 Show Week in Numbers

  • 3,634 scones served (with 97 kilograms of jam and 78 litres of cream)
  • 3,044 cups of tea, coffee or milo poured
  • 2,858 home-made biscuits baked with care
  • 537 merchandise items sold
  • 346 home-made craft items sold
  • 210 jams and preserves shared with the public

A Clever Collaboration: Men’s Shed Partnership
For the first time, we partnered with the Community Showgrounds Men's Shed at the Show. Their team baked up to 500 scones per day in their nearby industrial kitchen, just 30 metres from our stall.
Their frequent check-ins provided support and flexibility, while the partnership: boosted service efficiency, enhanced customer satisfaction, increased media attention and showcased CWA as an Association embracing modern community connection.

Crafting New Opportunities
Our first trial of selling member-made crafts was a standout success. Tea towels, microwave cosies, knitted teddies and “Happy Jam Pot” preserves sold quickly, welcoming new customers and giving more CWA members an opportunity to participate in a meaningful way.

The Heart of the Event: Our Volunteers
This eight-day event was powered by the energy and commitment of 25 branches and 76 volunteers, including family and Associate members.

Looking Ahead
CWA’s success at the Perth Royal Show reflects the passion and commitment of both staff and volunteers to keep our Association relevant, efficient and community-focused. This achievement was made possible through months of meticulous planning and the efforts of our mighty membership.
