CWA / Audika Audiometry Scholarship: Closes 31 January 2024

Audika and CWA of WA are striving to improve the wellbeing of all people and support equal rights and services for country and city people.  Together, we are advocating for hearing health as an important part of individual wellbeing.  Which is why, in partnership with the Country Women's Association of WA, Audika is proud to offer a scholarship to complete the Diploma of Audiometry delivered by TAFE Digital.

CWA Tertiary Education Bursary:  Closes 31 January each year

Established in 1996, up to $2,000 for up to two (2) applicants are eligible for the CWA Tertiary Bursary which are awarded annually and open to all students (male or female) and are not restricted just to CWA members’ children. The main criteria is civic awareness and student endeavour.  This is funded from the CWA Sir James Mitchell Fund - Education.

CWA / CTA Henderson Field Scholarship (for WA Rural Nurses):  Closes 31 January each year

The Country Women’s Association of WA (CWA) together with the Commercial Travellers’ Association of WA (CTA) have established the CWA / CTA Henderson Field Scholarship which is designed to encourage further nursing skills training, particularly involving the care of children, for the benefit of rural, regional and remote communities.  Funds were gifted by the Commercial Travellers’ Association of WA and provided to the Country Women’s Association of WA who manage the funds and selection process.   Each year, up to $5,000 is given in scholarship to each deserving applicant.

CWA Rural Medical Scholarship:  Will be available from January 2024

Beginning in 2008, this scholarship is awarded to a rural student (s) who is studying medicine at the UWA who would have difficulty in financing his or her medical studies, and has an interest in serving as a GP in the country. Up to $10,000 is granted annually from the Sir James Mitchell Fund - Education for the duration of the course upon successful completion of subjects each year.

CWA Rural Dental Scholarship:  Will be available from January 2024

This scholarship was established in 2012 and is for a rural student (s) who is studying dentistry at the UWA and who intends to practice in a rural area.  Up to $5,000 is granted annually from the Sir James Mitchell Fund - Education for the duration of the course upon successful completion of subjects each year.
